Nail Care

Nail is the thin plate on the end of a finger or toe. A healthy nails reflects a healthy skin. Caring your finger nails and toe nails may differ in some aspects. Toe nails are more prone to ingrown. This is probably because of toes contoured shape. Oftentimes we forget our feet needs more pampering than our finger nails because our feet carries the weight of our body giving our nails a congested shape which leads to ingrown nails. Pedicure and manicure is one way of pampering our nails.

A Pedicure is trimming of toe nails, removing corns and bunions of our feet. A Manicure is treating hands and finger nails. If you would want to Pedicure, Manicure you need to get a materials that is needed to do a nail care. These materials include: nail cutter, cuticle remover, acetone, nail nipper, cotton, wood stick trimmer, nails pusher, nail brush, small basin and towel. Here is how to do it.

  1. Remove old nail polish using a cotton and acetone. Wipe nails gently in a circular motion. Be sure all the nail polish are removed leaving no trace left on your nails.
  2. Allow feet to stay in a basin with warm water. It is better if you put bath soap in the water. This is to soften the toe corns and bunions. It also promotes a good blood circulation to your feet. You can do the same to your fingers too.
  3. Remove feet one at a time from basin and towel dry.
  4. Apply cuticle remover to your nails. Let the cuticle remover stand in a few minutes to your feet. This will soften your cuticle for easy manipulating.
  5. Push the cuticle back using a nail pusher wedge. Doing so will clean the surface of your nails and cuticles will become prominent. Clean also the back of your nails to remove dirt cause by sand andshoes.
  6. Carefully remove excess cuticles using a nail nipper. If your toe nails are ingrown, be very careful in removing ingrown nails. Do not do so if you are not confident enough that you can do it, or if you are not experienced in removing the ingrown nails.
  7. Brush nails using a nail brush to remove debris.
  8. Cut or trim nails according to your desired length and style.
  9. Once nails are cut, file your nails using a wood stick trimmer. This will smoothen up rough nails.
  10. You can coat your nails natural polisher or coat it with nail color.
  11. Leave nails in a minute to dry.

If you are not confident enough, it is always wise decision to get a pedicure professional to remove ingrown nails. So now you are ready to show off your beautifully pedicure feet. Nail care is so easy to do. You should have to do at least twice a month manicure and pedicure.
