Cosmetics are the preparation applied to skin. It is a substance used to improve appearance and for self beautification. The cosmetics materials include make up kit, lotions, creams, powders, perfumes and lipstick. All these products are use to alter individual’s appearance. Applying make up needs constant practice. The right way to do it and color combination of a make up to used needs a professionals. Using a foundation is a key to even out skin tone. But if you feel your face becomes oily and bulky then you might be using the wrong kind of foundation. You can also use facial cream to substitute foundation. Facial creams also hides skin blemishes and eyes dark circle. After applying a foundation, use a loose powder on your face. A loose powder will make you look younger than a compact powder. Please do not use your hand in applying loose powder to your face. Your hand will spoil the foundation on your face.

The eyes. Pick a shade that matches your skin tone. If you have a tanned skin, it is better to choose a lighter shade of eye shadows. Apply the shade to your entire eyelid. A darker color of eye shadow is applied to eye crease. You may use eyeliner if you have smaller eyes to widen it. This will give you a more dramatic look. Use a lash curler to achieve the fullness of eyelashes. After doing so, apply mascara from the top of your lashes outward. I suggest using a water proof mascara to avoid black smudges under your eyes. It is better to pluck first eyebrow if you have a thicker and wider eyebrow before putting on eye shadow. Use an eye shadow applicator for easier spread of colors.

The Lips. I recommend brushing first your lips with a soft toothbrush before applying lipstick. But please do not put toothpaste on brushing your lips.
Use a lip balm to soften your lips. After applying lip balm, apply just a thin layer of lip sheener. Lastly apply lipstick. Do not use bright colored lipstick. A mocha colored lipstick for tanned skin is just right, and a pink colored lipstick to a fair skin. Use a lip liner that has same color with your lipstick. It is also good to use lipstick brush to even out lip color. Lipstick brush is designed thin for an accurate lipstick application.

The Cheeks. A natural rosy colored cheek is attractive. But please never use a bright red colored blush on as this will make you look over done. Choose a color that is a bit darker than your normal skin color. If you have fair skin a pink colored blush will look good on you. Here is the real thing. Apply blush on a little bit above the cheek bone. Not on the cheek bone itself. This is the reason why when you apply blush on you look heavier rather than beautiful. To make nose more prominent, apply a thin dark shade along the side of the nose. To those who have wider nose, this line will make your nose looks cute.
