Ephedra is such a dominant and dangerous herb that needs regulation and should never be abused. Some of the reported dangers of ephedra pills are anxiety, restlessness, insomnia, headaches, vomiting,addiction, high blood pressure, irregular and rapid heartbeat, stroke and death.
Different organizations have already banned the use of ephedra like the International Olympic Committee and National Collegiate Athletic Association upon the reports of the dangers of ephedra pills. And one by one, countries are putting restriction of using ephedra. The dangers of ephedra pills are really scary. According to a study by enthusiastic researchers of the dangers of ephedra pills, it shows that cases of cardiac arrest are linked with ephedra. Two of these cases, according to them lead to death. Now, we have two out of eight deaths linked to ephedra. Others are due to acute myocardial infractions (two cases) and strokes (four cases). The said four fatal heart attacks are linked to an energy pill containing ephedra. The other three from the five cardiac arrests cases mentioned above resulted to permanent disability.
